About
Family members of a deceased loved one may donate the brain and spinal cord to the UNITE Brain Bank to be examined neuropathologically for evidence of chronic traumatic encephalopathy or other central nervous system disorders. Candidates include contact sport athletes, military veterans, first responders, and people with a history of repeated head trauma. Donation does not interfere with funeral arrangements and no disfigurement occurs.
