MUSC Medical and Forensic Autopsy Division

About

The Medical University of South Carolina division provides autopsy services to its hospitals, the community, and decedents’ families, performing approximately 1,500 autopsies annually. It is staffed by seven board-certified forensic pathologists plus autopsy technicians and 24-hour mortuary services staff, with an accredited on-site histology lab and subspecialty consultation in neuropathology, pulmonary pathology, and cardiac pathology.
